So, check this out.

I like to keep a few quarts of extra fluid in the car (tranny, oil, power-steering, and brakes), just to keep it real while on the road. Especially as you never know if a service station will have the right stuff, or what they will charge.

So, after servicing the car, I went to pick up another quart of the transmission fluid that was recommended by the auto parts shop.  However, now there is another guy at the counter than the first one who strongly put it, "This is the stuff you want for your car."  And, the new guy recommends another fluid... WTF?!? Huh?!?

Well, in some parts of the world this would call for firebombs and open machine-gun fire, but I no longer live in Arizona, so I simply took it as an honest mistake, quelled my personal suspicion, and holstered my firearm.

The important thing is to not mix different types, if it can be avoided. So I picked up enough of this new stuff to do the fluid change next weekend (it was ~25% cheaper too).

So, if this happened to you, don't freak out. Just simply get enough of the good stuff and drain the bad stuff and put in the good stuff.

Later on, I did see the first guy, and explained my confusion; and, he did double check the information, instead of just blowing me off (which was nice). And it turned out that he had made an honest mistake (and a few extra bucks selling the most expensive stuff on the wall).

I sure was glad about not setting off the firebombs.

Store policy: always err on the side of the dollar. Or, ca$h > correct. Who knows.

Anyway, I included some pictures of the right stuff and the wrong stuff down below.

If you can shed some light on this, please send your thoughts to iReallyDontCareAboutYour@opinion.com. Or, maybe you can start one of those blogs that doesn't offer any useful, applicable knowledge; but instead is just littered with your...thoughts -- how neat -- your thoughts!!!

I make no claims with the information offered herein. This article is intended for humorous purposes only. Yeah, sure, I did service my transmission using the information given; but then, what do I know -- I'm not a mechanic. In fact, I am a moron. I do not *get* it. I do not get *it*. Never did. I just wanted to spoof Slackerdom.com. Do your own homework, do your own research, use your own brain, pick your own nose. Seriously, you could get really hurt trying to service your own vehicle. Like, dead-hurt. You could even get hurt ordering a coffee from drive-through at McDonald's. Think about it. Coffee. I know. Just stay inside and click your mouse -- we'll both be better off.
